Taniwha Girl arriving on Kickstarter in June! Also, all Yarnsworld and Darkstar books leaving Kindle Unlimited

Taniwha Girl Kickstarter

The ‘Coming Soon’ page for To Dream and Die as a Taniwha Girl’s Kickstarter is now live – feel free to check it out, and click the ‘Notify me on launch’ button so you are one of the first to see the project when it launches.

I’m also finally ready to let you know when that happens: the launch date will be 1st June 2020, at 12pm UK time! I’ve been advised to run some special discounts for the first people to support the project, so get in there early before they are all snapped up. You’ll also get to check out who I’ve got lined up to be the Yarnsworld’s cartographer, as well as an early look at one of the folktales from ‘Taniwha Girl’!

This is completely new territory for me, and I’m thrilled and nervous about all the changes this new challenge might bring.

And speaking of changes…

Yarnsworld/Darkstar books removed from Kindle Unlimited

As the title says, sometime within the next week all of my books will be removed from Kindle Unlimited. If you don’t know, KU is Amazon’s subscriber-based reading service – a bit like Netflix but for books. To have my books in KU I had to only make them available on Amazon’s shops, but it doesn’t make sense to offer ‘Taniwha Girl’ on Kickstarter, but not have any of the other novels available, so I will be removing them from KU so I can offer all my books to Kickstarter supporters.

The removal won’t happen until the end of the week, so if you are a KU reader and you’ve not read all my books yet, you still have a few days to grab them – as long as you grab them before they are taken down, you’ll still be able to keep them on your device for as long as KU normally allows – but please do act fast if you are interested.

I don’t yet know if this is going to be a permanent move – a lot depends on how successful the Kickstarter campaign is. I know many of my readers have discovered the Yarnsworld and Darkstar books through Kindle Unlimited, so I don’t want to turn my back on them – I’d probably like to have a chat with my KU readers later this year to find out their thoughts…

As a final note, I’ll also be removing The Yarnsworld Collection box set from sale completely. The plans I had when first launching this box set never really came to fruition, and I’m using this opportunity to remove it from stores. Again, you still have a few days left to grab this before it is gone for good.
